| STAGE 1 -NOMINATIONS, AUDITED BY PWC |
All nominations are made online. You can nominate in as many or as few categories as you would like at no cost. Colleagues, peers, and industry contacts are encouraged to recognise the best in the industry. Self-nominations are also welcome and you are encouraged to campaign for nominations. (*For more information on how the nominations process works, please see below). Online nominations open on Monday 19th November 2012 and will close at close of business on Friday February 15th 2013. STAGE 2 -RESEARCH |
Extensive phone research, conducted by our dedicated CMA research team will follow up the nomination process. This will ensure that the nomination process has not missed out on anyone worthy of a nomination, and will also verify eligibility of the nominations that have been received. This process is audited by PwC. |

STAGE 3 -FINAL NOMINEES CONFIRMED |
KMI Publishing & Events, the organisers of the Canadian Mortgage Awards, will review the nominations and thoroughly cross-check them with the response from the telephone research. Using both pools of information, the final group of nominees in each Award category will then be confirmed. |

STAGE 4 -FINAL NOMINEES NOTIFIED |
All eligible and confirmed nominees in each Award category will be contacted by our research team and notified of their nominee status. They will be invited to complete a submission form and return it to our team within a strict deadline.

| STAGE 5 -FINALISTS CONFIRMED BY SUBMISSIONS PROCES |
Only those Nominees who return a submission form before the deadline can be then considered as a Finalist. Following the CMA guidelines for their Award Category, the submission form documentation will support their nomination and show our judges why they deserve to win in their nominated category. Once their completed Nominee Submission Form is recieved, the Nominee becomes a Finalist for the 2013 Awards. Finalists are encouraged to be truthful, honest, creative and prove how they fulfil each requirement to win the award. |
| STAGE 6 -JUDGES DECISIONS |
Our panel of esteemed industry judges will be chosen from the mortgage and finance industry and invited to judge the finalists' submissions. CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR JUDGES BIOS. All Finalist Submission Forms will be collated and sent to our panel of judges for review. Submissions are treated as confidential and our judging panel are required to sign a confidentiality agreement. The judges will independently review the Finalists' submissions and will submit their own choice for a winner in each category. The judges decisions are independent and impartial and there is no deliberation between the panel. |
| STAGE 7 -AUTHENTICATION |
The judges’ will send their selections both to KMI Publishing & Events and to our external auditing firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The selections will be collated and winners derived. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will then assess and verify the validity and accuracy of the methodology and results. |
| STAGE 8 -CANADIAN MORTGAGE AWARDS PRESENTATION |
Canada's mortgage industry will join the finalists at the industry's night of nights for the announcement of the winners. |
| * How does the Canadian Mortgage Awards nomination process work? | |

Canadian mortgage industry professionals are invited to nominate themselves, their peers, their brokerage or any individual or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the mortgage Industry in Canada during 2012. We will be presenting awards to winners in 21 categories, including both awards for individuals and brokerages. After online nominations close, extensive phone research will continue the nomination process. The final nominees for each category will then be chosen from both pools of information and invited to submit supporting documentation in order to become a Finalist.
