Methodology
Stage 1 - Nominations
Nominations are made online. Canadian brokers are invited to visit the nomination page on this website and complete the online survey.
Stage 2 - Research
Extensive phone research will follow up the nomination process. This will ensure that the nomination process has not missed out on anyone worthy of a nomination, and will also verify the nominations that have been received, and find out if the nomination is widely accepted to be deserved.
Stage 3 - Finalists chosen
KMI Media, the organisers of the Canadian Mortgage Awards, will review the nominations and finalists in each category will be selected.
Stage 4 - Finalists notified
All finalists in the Canadian Mortgage Awards will be notified by phone or e-mail to let them know the good news.
Stage 5 - Finalists' submissions
All finalists will be sent submission forms and guidelines about the award category or categories they have been nominated for. They will then have to prove why they deserve their nomination and why they deserve to win. Finalists are encouraged to be truthful, honest, creative and prove how they fulfil each requirement to win the award.
Stage 6 - Judges' decision
A panel of esteemed industry judges will be chosen from the mortgage and finance industry and invited to judge the finalists' submissions. They will be well-known and well respected by their industry peers and their judgement will be impartial, balanced, incisive and fair. They will review the finalists' submissions and decide on the winner for each category.
Stage 7 - Authentication
The judges’ decisions will be sent to PWC, the official external auditing firm of the Canadian Mortgage Awards, who will assess and verify the validity and accuracy of the methodology and results.
Stage 8 - CANADIAN MORTGAGE AWARDS AWARD PRESENTATION
Canada's mortgage industry will join the finalists at the industry's night of nights for the announcement of the winners.
