DAVIS + HENDERSON NATIONAL BROKER NETWORK OF THE YEAR
Award of excellence to the outstanding national broker network for their commitment to the brokers, agents and support staff in their network and to the mortgage industry as a whole.
Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges.
 
MORTGAGE BROKERAGE OF THE YEAR (MORE THAN 25 EMPLOYEES)
Award of excellence to the outstanding mortgage team, where the total number of staff or full-time equivalents is more than or equal to 25, nationally. This figure includes all loan writers and support staff.

Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges
 
ING DIRECT MORTGAGE BROKERAGE OF THE YEAR (LESS THAN 25 EMPLOYEES)
Award of excellence to the outstanding mortgage team, where the total number of staff or full-time equivalents is fewer than or equal to 25, nationally. This figure includes all loan writers and support staff.

Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges.
 
BRIDGEWATER BANK MORTGAGE BROKER OF THE YEAR (MORE THAN 25 EMPLOYEES)
Award of excellence to the outstanding mortgage broker from a company or office where the total number of staff or full-time equivalents is more than 25, nationally. This figure includes all loan writers and support staff. Operations and brokers at franchises are invited to nominate for this category but cannot nominate themselves.

Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges. When judging this category, loan volume, quality of submissions, conversion rates, overall customer service & stakeholder engagement will be key considerations.
 
HOME TRUST MORTGAGE BROKER OF THE YEAR (LESS THAN 25 EMPLOYEES)
Award of excellence to the outstanding mortgage broker from a company or office with the total number of staff or full-time equivalents fewer than or equal to 25, nationally. This figure includes all loan writers and support staff. Operations and brokers at franchises are invited to nominate for this category but cannot nominate themselves.

NATIONAL BANK LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY AWARD
Award of excellence in honour of outstanding achievement by an individual within the mortgage broker industry.

This award recognizes lifetime achievement or outstanding contribution to the Canadian mortgage industry as a whole.

 
COMMERCIAL MORTGAGE BROKER OF THE YEAR
Award of excellence that recognizes the standout brokers who specialize in commercial mortgages, or who have substantial success in funding commercial real estate purchases. Brokers can nominate themselves, but our researchers will be directly contacting commercial lenders.

Finalists will be asked to provide references from managers and, if possible, clients, to submit to the judging panel. Finalists will be invited to provide supporting documentation for submission; loan volume, conversion rates & residential to commercial lending ratios will be key considerations.
 
MCAP ECLIPSE ALTERNATIVE LENDING BROKER OF THE YEAR

Award of excellence recognizing the standout performers in the non-conforming or private sectors. Although brokers can nominate themselves for this category, special attention will be paid to nominations made by non-conforming or private lenders, who are best placed to judge brokers' performance objectively.

Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges.
 
GENWORTH BEST NEWCOMER - INDIVIDUAL
Award of excellence for an outstanding newcomer within the industry who has less than three years' experience.

BEST NEWCOMER - MORTGAGE BROKERAGE
Award of excellence for an outstanding new mortgage brokerage company or office established in the industry within the last three years.

Finalists are required to submit supporting documentation for the judges. When judging this category, loan volume, and quality of submissions, conversion rates, overall customer service & stakeholder engagement will be key considerations.

CMHC BEST LENDER UNDERWRITER OF THE YEAR
Award of excellence for the lender underwriter whose expertise and outstanding service to brokers helps ensure their deals are funded quickly and efficiently and guides them in the right direction to improve their funding ratios.
 
THE MORTGAGE CENTRE BEST LENDER BDM OF THE YEAR
Award of excellence for the lender business development manager (BDM) who offers superb service to brokers, ensuring  deals are funded quickly and efficiently, as well as being proactive in educating brokers on products and lender requirements.

When judging this category, the BDMs ability to build & manage relationships, understanding their broker business, the value they add to the brand they represent & the broker channel will be key considerations.

BEST NEWCOMER - LENDER UNDERWRITER
Award of excellence for the lender underwriter with three years or less experience in the industry whose expertise and outstanding service to brokers helps ensure their deals are funded quickly and efficiently and guides them in the right direction to improve their funding ratios.
 
BEST NEWCOMER - LENDER BDM
Award of excellence for the lender business development manager (BDM) with three years or less experience in the industry who offers superb service to brokers, ensuring  deals are funded quickly and efficiently, as well as being proactive in educating brokers on products and lender requirements.

When judging this category, the BDMs ability to build & manage relationships, understanding their broker business, the value they add to the brand they represent & the broker channel will be key considerations.
 
BEST INTERNET PRESENCE
Award of excellence for the best Internet presence. The Internet is an important medium for communication, and this category recognizes brokers who have harnessed this medium to provide consumers with practical, effective and easily accessible facilities to help streamline the mortgage process.

Finalists will be invited to provide supporting documentation for submission to the judges who will consider the business’ key objectives behind their website, design, functionality, features & quality of content.
 
BEST ADVERTISING
Award of excellence for the best advertising campaign aimed at brokers by broker networks, lenders or suppliers. This award recognizes the best individual ad campaign. Which campaign and message are most memorable over the past year?  
Nominees will need to provide an overview of the campaigns’ strategy, the marketing mix applied & quantitative & qualitative evidence of cut through & campaign results when possible.
 
FNF CANADA BEST BRANDING

Award of excellence for the best branding by a brokerage only. This award recognizes the company with a powerful brand message to convey to its target customers, and reinforces that brand in all marketing and advertising initiatives throughout the year.

Nominees will need to provide an overview of their branding strategy & evidence of results when possible.

EMPLOYER OF CHOICE
Award of excellence for an outstanding employer in any facet of the industry. This employer will understand the importance of keeping its employees happy, and will demonstrate its willingness to go above and beyond to do so.
 
MERIX BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM AN INDIVIDUAL OFFICE

Award of excellence for outstanding customer service by a mortgage office. Customer service is an important measure of any brokerage's long-term success.

The finalists will be asked to submit further details about the extra mile they go to give customers outstanding service. Product knowledge, product offerings, telephone & face to face service will also be taken into consideration.
 
BEST COMMUNITY SERVICE EFFORT
This award will recognise the business or broker that has demonstrated service or contribution over a sustained period of time & has gone beyond normal expectations, or who has had a significant impact on their local community.

Finalists will be invited to provide supporting documentation for the judges,  for example developing links, partnerships or programs that have enhanced the reputation of the nominated business through engaging with the region & communities it serves.

BEST INDUSTRY SERVICE PROVIDER
Industry service plays an extremely important role within the industry. This award will recognise the service provider that adds the most value to their customers,
